Intellectual Property Bill awaits Royal Assent

17-04-2014 15:52

The Intellectual Property Bill was approved in the House of Lords this week which means that it will pass into UK law after the Royal Assent.

The Act will bring about changes to IP law in the UK including bringing in some criminal offences and changes to unregistered and registered design law.  The Bill has largely come about as a result of the Hargreaves Review in Intellectual Property which we have previously commented on.

We will report in more detail once the Bill becomes law.
