27-11-2013 12:02
On 20 November 2013, Nominet, the organisation responsible for .uk domain names, announced its plans to launch shorter domain names.
From mid-2014, Nominet will offer shorter domain names incorporating .uk at the end, alongside the standard .co.uk and .org.uk domain names. Businesses or individuals which already have a .co.uk or a .org.uk domain name will be offered first refusal of the .uk equivalent. For example, SPW would be offered spw-law.uk.
