Report on Intellectual Property in SMEs

24-10-2013 09:55

Business Minister Vince Cable addressed the Alliance for Intellectual Property Conference on 17 October 2013 about a new independent report commissioned by the Intellectual Property Office into challenges facing smaller businesses when trying to manage their IPRs.

The executive report has been published and the full report is expected shortly.  The executive report highlights the fact that businesses often fail to recognise the existence of valuable IPRs within their business which is certainly something that we, having experience in IP for a number of years, would agree with.

For more information on the executive summary, please see the Government press release at www.gov.uk/government/news/plans-unveiled-to-support-ip-rich-businesses-get-funding

We will blog on the full report when it is available.  In the meantime, if you have any questions relating to your IP, please contact Emma Hayward.
