Tenant’s Charter

24-02-2014 10:43

The Government has published a draft tenant’s charter in respect of residential tenancies.

The charter, which will not be legally binding but which the Government hopes landlords and agents will follow, includes a model tenancy agreement, encourages the use of more family friendly tenancies and sets out the rights and responsibilities of the Landlord and Tenant in respect of the condition of the property. The draft charter can be found on the Government’s website (www.gov.uk within the publications section).
