The Government today announced it will ban the use of ‘exclusivity’ clauses (which prevent an individual from working for another employer even where there are no guaranteed hours) on zero-hour contracts.  The Government will also work with unions and businesses to develop a code of practice for those employers who do wish to continue to use zero-hour contracts.
